Fallen Away

My days are numbered,
Time is short,
My emotions are muted,
I cannot cry,
Soon I will have to leave,
So much here,
Just holding on,
But I shake it off,
And turn my cold shoulder,
The dark wings of night,
Have me concealed,
I’ve just… fallen away,
Strayed from the path,
I’m cutting all ties,
I can’t go back,
But someone still holds me,
Tighter and tighter each day,
But now it’s too late,
I’ve Fallen Away!
