There is so much to say with so little time
but I just can’t find the truth
because somehow I got stuck in the middle
by wanting to believe in you


I wish that this wasn’t happening
and I wish I didn’t know
about this pain you brought with you
the scars that I don’t let show


I wanted so badly to believe in you
and that’s why I gave you my heart
I didn’t know then it would only be shattered
and slowly torn apart


it was almost as if you didn’t care
as each tear fell down my face
it was as if you didn’t want to fill the gaps
you were content with all the space


I wish I wasn’t so stupid
people say it wasn’t me
I wish that I could believe them
and see what they say they see


I guess you could say I am moving on
but I need you to know the truth
despite everything you did to me
I hate myself for still loving you

that was good. I like the way you made things rhyme and flow so smoothly. It was kind of lyrical and musical. I know it sounds tacky but its nice when things rhyme (even if you're not little anymore) , it makes them much more memorable.
