The Road Home
Thoughts go running through my head.
Questions go unanswered.
Confusion sets in.
The darkness is everywhere.
No matter where I turn it’s there.
Waiting for me to take the plunge into its unknown path.
Not sure of myself as I wander down this lonely path.
Wondering when it’s going to end.
When the light will shine through.
With only the echoing silence of thoughts,
The vastness of this place grows unbearable.
The insignificance of it all is overwhelming.
There’s nothing to do but wait,
For the road out of this personal prison
To lead me home
