Some Say Lust
Just to see your face makes my heart race.
Some say lust,
Well,
I say,
Whatever it is; it hurts.
When I see your face drop,
When I see your eyes go grey,
When I see your perfect smile subside into a neutral grimace,
My heart is preparing itself for sacrifice.
And I know,
That at that moment,
It would give itself willingly just to catch one tear,
It would walk through the worlds strongest storm like it was a slight drizzle, just to lift your chin.
And I know;
That at that moment,
It would give anything,
Say anything,
Do anything,
Just to catch a glimpse of your smile.
Some say lust;
Well,
I say,
Whatever it is; it hurts.
