Mommy Loves Me Anyway
In my house, with the blue doors/
In the kitchen with all the great meals/
And in my room, where the memories began/
Through all the arguments and all the laughs/
Through everything that's happened/
I know mommy loves me anyway//
I fall asleep to her talking with my dad/
He built me my lacrosse cage and my old swingset
I am like his clone, but still resemble a lot of her/
She helped me through everything/
Through the friend problems and family problems/
From the nail biting, to the hair chewing/
And even that nasty habit/
That took years to outgrow/
Mommy loves me anyway//
In my house, with the blue doors/
In the kitchen, with all the great meals/
And in my room, where the memories began/
Through all the arguments and all the laughs/
It all began from here, right with her/
Through everything that's happened/
I know mommy loves me anyway//
Even when we argue, even when we fight/
Mommy knows she's right, even if I don't/
She got me that 1st bunny blanket/
And then bunny number 2,3,4, and all the way through 7/
She got me all of them, because she knew I loved them/
She helped me through my fears, and everything else too/
And how she puts up with half of it/
I'll never know/
But mommy loves me anyway//
In my house, with the blue doors/
In the kitchen, with all the great meals/
And in my room, where the memories began/
It all started here and all because of her/
Through all the arguments and all the laughs/
Through everything that's happened/
I know mommy loves me anyway//
She read me "Hop on Pop", and many others too/
She keeps the house smelling fresh and clean/
And the house itself, the same as well/
But the one thing she can't keep clean, is beyond her power/
Even though God only knows what's under my bed/
She puts up with it/
Because mommy loves me anyway//
In my house, with the blue doors/
In the kitchen, with all the great meals/
And in my room, where the memories began/
Through all the arguments and all the laughs/
It all began from here, right with her/
Through everything that's happened/
I know mommy loves me anyway
