This battle goes on
Hurting me more than you
I try to just deal
To end this fight

“Just dealing is losing
A battle
And in losing that
Battle
You lose part of
Yourself”

Maybe you’re right
Maybe me trying to
Compromise
With someone who doesn’t believe
In compromise
Is making me lose me.

Maybe
Standing up for yourself
Is the only way to go
Even if it
Hurts
Even if it
Kills
Me
