A Strange Place
I am here
in this strange new place
a place I wish
I could pass right through
I've never felt
so dug in, burried
in the sinkhole
that is being a teenager
Never felt so alone
in a place full of people
I have friends
but do I really
Mom, I am in and unhappy place
the real world you call it
but I call it the cruel world
What if we viewed all of this
from our child eyes
I think we'd see it all
and realize how wrong it is
with the innocence
that's always there
but hidden
from where it can be seen
Yes, I am in a strange place
but I wont be strange
to flow with fishes
and mesh
with the frayed wires.
