The World May Be HArsh
The World May Be Harsh
The world may be harsh
As we lay here dying
But we shouldn’t care
For we all have each other to share
The world may be harsh
But soon God will be here standing
Handing us precious gifts of immortality
Even if your heart is pierced
By the brutal lance of reality
The birds will still sing
A mournful chirping sensation
The world may be harsh
But the sun will still ooze its brilliance
And shed bright light on us
The moon will still gleam
Its florescent nightglow
And give you vivid goodnight guilt
The world may be harsh
But the solar system will still orbit
And the air will let you breathe
The river will murmur and flow
The world may be grim
But the variety of fish still swims
A life may be over
But another’s has just begun
The battle may be lost
But the war will soon be won
The world may be harsh
Yet here we all are standing
The sky maybe gloomy and grey today
But soon everything will be okay
