Moonflower
She is afraid of the dark
This sweet moonflower
But there is more for her to fear
In sunlight
She is uncomfortable in the day
She wants for the moon to rise
People make her life so lonely
She cannot empathize
Refuses to sympathize
She’s afraid of her shadow
For it may stab her in the back
Afraid of being torn
But to fear death,
She should never have been born
She is afraid of the dark
Such a sweet moonflower
Blossoming in the night
And yet she fears where she belongs
The sunlight reveals
Everything she tries to hide
She refuses to sympathize
With the exposition
And she lives for the rising of the moon
