Forever
I have only twice truly experienced Truth’s panic
The knowing that life will go on, after death, after all, into Eternity
Maybe this was a curse, this mind, this knowing,
that humanity earned by ravaging their dominion, their fellows, themselves
Our curse is the Soul
We are divine, but trapped in Infinity,
One with God, and yet barren of proof, of certainty
And so we Are, or we create, or we destroy
and that is all
until we die
and then too
we continue
and how I hope
there’s no time there,
no knowing there,
for the knowledge of Truth
is the most brilliant
and most ardently terrible thing
one can know
