Lone Wolf Meets the Moon
The night is dark,
the pack has scattered,
leaving one wolf's heart shattered.
The pack has abandoned him,
and he must face the cruel elements alone.
It really is cruel,
since the poor pup only wants to find home.
The dark sky is starless, not a creature in sight;
just the wolf and the full moon
alone in the night.
Scared and cold,
the wolf howls to the moon
hoping that telling his troubles
will make the warmth come soon.
The moon understands
and wants to lend a hand,
but more howls pierce the night.
The wolf looks back
and sees his pack,
their worried faces filled with fright.
the wolf runs to them,
glad to belong.
The pack runs away to their home,
leaving poor moon all alone
shivering in teh cold,
chilled to the bone.

The flow of this poem is really good overall, except for a few off-tune guitar twang lines.
I think this poem could be really good, it just might use a little more work.
