Hope Filled Sky
Midnight blue skies,
And stars of hope,
Yet she lay crumpled on the dead grass,
With pain which she can't cope
She lays screaming and weeping,
And wondering why,
Why hasn't she been touched,
By the hope filled sky
Was she not good enough?
Or because she cried too much,
That the hope filled sky,
Is so far out of touch
Nothing surrounds her,
Just a pond and a tree,
The tree's branches hang limp,
And the pond water is filthy
With no escape,
She hopes to die,
And all she wanted,
Was to touch the hope filled sky
