Children of the World
A day darker than most,
No sun to shine,
No smiles to share.
My heart is broken with anguish.
I shed a tear for the young boy,
Who's life is gone.
And the baby who was horribly wounded.
I bleed my tears for the dozen
Who's lives were harshly taken.
Not out of honer or bravery.
Not at all the way it should be.
But just being proud,
Of where they came from.
Embrassing the celebration of heritage.
What is this world,
If not even us children
Are safe from each other.
