Death by Love
On top of the roof
Just an inch from the edge
Toes curled over
Arms hanging by your side lifeless
You’re ready to jump
Looking down you see lights flash
Sirens wail and people look up at you
Wondering why you’re up here
Why do you just want to throw it all away?
Looking down you see him
The reason you’re up here
No love
No passion
There’s just hate filling up your heart
He looks up and tries to meet your eyes
Tears stream down your face
He knows he’s the reason your ready to jump
He screams your name
You tone it out
Not wanting to hear it, your name or his voice
The voice that whispered I love you to many times to count
The voice that sung you to sleep every night
The voice you love
You stare him down your eyes following him
Your done with him
Your done with the world
You just want to get out
It was never meant to be
You close your eyes and fall…
