I no longer fear the darkness
For I’ve become a part of it
The heart of it
The middle, end, and start of it

Like a single drop of water slipping into the sea
That’s me
Close all the doors
On those clichéd old rotten metaphors

But only because they’re true
You hurt me
I never hurt you
Love is not real
Or if it is
The arrow missed

Cobwebs glinting in the moonlight
So dim
But so bright
I will not find this thing called love tonight

What is love?
It’s all a fiction
Twisted by a sad addiction
