And Her Soul Ignites
In the craw of a mountain she wakes
Wiping away the cobwebs of sleep
From her lonely crescent moon eyes
With a soft paw that means
Death to any who encounter it
She stretches her supple limbs
Each black rosette scattered on her soft alabaster cloak
A memory
And bares her ivory scythes
In the distance, two craggy peaks kiss
Silhouetted against the blue-black sea of sky
Between their lips a fiery star is born
And in her eyes, the sun’s blazing light lives
And her soul ignites
