Empty MAG
A broken heart beats a different tune
A shallow beat full of nothing but air
Adrenaline pumps me home
Racing in sandals not meant for running
Trying to escape from tears
That won't stop pouring
I can't see color anymore
Flowers are not the vivid colors I once embraced
But shades of dreary grey that plummet on this world
My eyes that once sang green stare back in glass, black
Sleep is my only comfort as dreams harbor memories of you
Where colors can come back even brighter than ever
And your smile still brightens the world
In my sleep you whisper that I can always see you again
But only if I close my eyes
