that all I do is all I know.

that my skin flushes with an iridescent glow.

that my voice trembles, in a state of woe.

I absolutely agree with you though. I've never had an abuse relationship of any sort, but I've seen it happen, and heard stories, and I hoped that this could reach out to some people.
wow, you're a great writer! i love the way the rhyme worked. sometimes, authors get so caught up in making the verses rhyme that they lose the meaning of the actual poem. well you didnt seem to have a problem with that! it takes a true writer to be able to do that.
