Moving On
One step forward, two steps back
That’s the cycle you put me through
Every time I start to move on, you show up
You take me right back to the beginning
Your smile, your sky-colored eyes, and your midnight hair
What pulls me in most is your sincerity
All of its engraved in my memory
You finally break the distance you put me through
You seem to want to let me back in
No, I know things aren’t the same
I don’t think they ever really will be
But you’re there, and that means so much
No I don’t know if I'll ever fully move on
But I just hope you will always remember me
Like I will always remember you
