Marked by the seasons of anger and defeat
Lay me to rest, forever asleep
Forever is so long
and we may never find,
what we keep searching for in the night
Marked by each breath we take
Because in every emotion
we are taught our mistakes
Clip the wings that take you there
But your remedy won't scare the demons
Stand by and count the stars
and let's pretend we aren't falling
faster than time
