Running
I’m been running, past the houses of memories that you never seemed to notice
when we were running so fast we forgot to breath
But I feel like the end should be somewhere in proximity
I’ve been running through these streets for years now,
turning back around just to see my shadow still following me
When is time going to catch up to me?
When will I be able to realize that the lights have dimmed, but I’m not all alone?
When will the seasons change in my heart?
I held the fire, tasted the fear;
but after every race I’m still losing
I’m still losing you with every mile, because behind every corner
I sense the danger near
