Models Always Die In The End
Glitter, Glamor...
another hatchling emerges.
Beauty, Power...
the mind diverges.
The money, the fame...
the painted face will radiate.
The gossip, the blame...
the inward monster will foreshadow fate.
The headaches, the cravings...
just another pill to pop.
Bright lights, paparazzi...
walk that runway 'till you drop.
The warnings, the calls...
she wouldn't listen to anyone.
Aging years in a day...
from behind the lens they knew she was done.
Wouldn't give up the dream...
midnight salon runs so no one knew she was going gray.
No more cover shots...
blindly heading toward the cliff, and fading away.
Pain, disappointment...
maybe she forgot she was only human.
The world's crazy expectations...
can't blame her for being a damn woman.
Life, ambition...
she finally wilted, alone.
Cold, forgotten...
of course, her fans were long gone.
But I remained...
always here to take another one to the grave.
This is my world....
but I don't drive you crazy in one wave.
The world is crap...
I just provide the right temptation.
You make your choices...
you are your own creation.
Taller shoes, thinner legs...
new year, fresh faces start to rise.
Aging, sagging...
get the shot before your skin dries.
Over again...
the endless cycle continues.
Back for more...
fame and riches many young souls enthuse.
Crave it, love it...
it won't last you long.
And only after your death...
will you realize you were wrong.
Was it inevitable, or were there choices?
Too closed inside your head,
you didn't listen to the other voices.
