An After Thought
I do not believe in love.
For it does not believe in me
Its been ripped from my raw grip
Too many times
I am frozen in time, unable to move my
Brittle hands
Silky ribbons fall and pool around my weak ankles
Love spelled out right in front of me
And I cannot move my lips to
Caress this unforgiving word
Love does not believe in me.
For I do not believe in it.
