Color
I only saw color in you
But now the color fades
You let them pull our hands apart
And left me here for days
When you were gone
I waited for your return
I held my breath
closed my eyes
And let life pass me in a blur
Started hearing your voice in time
Calling after me
telling me our love was pure
you've come to rescue thee
But as your steps grew closer
I reached to find your hand
though it wasn't waiting
It was now attached to them
I fell to the ground in pieces
you told me that you cared
you said that it was only me
you said you wouldn't dare
I turned my back to face you
With your other hand in mid air
My feet took my broken heart away
to anywhere but there
Only time will heal the hurt
where you've ended up, i've no clue
I once saw only color in you
but now the color is spreading
My heart has healed
and so has my dreading
Nothing last forever
But it lasts until it goes
Nothing is with out color
Unless you allow it to be so
