What I havent Seen
Two decades old,
Seen two centuries,
Three wars,
Trade towers fallen.
Two fathers gone,
Only one left.
But for how long.
Been in love,
Been lied to,
Cheated on,
Had more than one broken heart.
You say I haven’t seen anything?
I haven’t lived?
I may not have lost a president,
May not have seen the draft, the March.
I have seen heroic suicides,
Have seen loss, suffering.
I have felt my share of pain,
And then some.
