I see you, on the other side,
Your black hair whips in the cool breeze.
I need you with me…
I look at the deep, piercing river before me.
I swallow hard; a tear runs loose
I jump, taking a huge leap of faith.
My heart is cold and hollow as I
Realize that I am being sucked back to earth
You outstretch your strong hand…
The icy, clammy water wakes me up.
Why didn’t you take my hand?
