Like egg yokes, pour them out and
Burn the rest.
I've become possessed by your
Effulgent smile pinned upward when I
Act unconscious.
It's you restored, a new record
Of infidelity.
But I still want you.
You cut out the sun
Clouded the sky with blisters of venom
That pop when I forget how to
Pretend too.
The past is now existence when I
Can't live in your presence.
You're only a promise
Without substance.
Cold-blooded lover I'd like to
Bleed you, I'd like to
Paint with my veins if it
Didn't change colors.
Crack your egg-white shell
And tell you it won't spoil.
