Faces Sunward
To look up
To feel the heat
On your face, your neck, your arms.
To soak up the rays
Like water on the sand,
Then let them escape
Back into the air,
Live like a flower,
And soak up the sun
With faces raised sunward
Worshiping the globe of flames
Feel the heat
Feel the warmth,
The warmth of a hug
A faint blush
The sound of ‘I love you’
With Faces sunward,
We start the day
Hoping our warmth,
Will be savored.
