Scream
If I swallowed
My words,
Then I know I’d
Never get them back
And the possibility
Of screwing up
Around you
Would never exist,
But you ‘d
Walk by and
Smile at my
Absence of words
While I
Struggle
With my inner
Thoughts, because
That’d be all I ‘d
Have left,
So I’d scream
Silently at myself,
Knowing that
Even if I had
Any words
To be spoken,
You still wouldn’t
Listen.
