Thoughts of an empty chair
Thoughts of an empty chair
Wind whistles through my sides
The grass, ever so soft
The trees untouched, and bare
The sky is deepest blue
Not a sound is spoken
The sun taking away cold
And me, an empty chair waiting for summer
I can smell the oceans roar
I can see the mountains peak
But I know I have to wait
A hawk in the air
Soaring to the never-ending
I watch wistfully
But I’m still waiting
Until I am sat on once again
