I am a Bird
I am a Bird
I am a bird.
A silent word.
A dove on glass wings.
The change of the world, and the things it brings.
I am a dove on glass wings.
Birds were given wings to fly.
And as a bird, I will go high.
Birds were given wings for freedom
So I know that I will need them.
A bird can see the world up high,
But you know, a bird can die.
A bird can fail.
Like wind in your sail.
And then, where will you be?
Well, I’m afraid, you will be lost at sea.
But together, we’ll rise again, and I’ll kiss the sky.
Birds were given wings to fly.
Things will perish, things will die,
But you and I, we’ll learn to fly.
