Running Free
Wind whipping through her hair
"Finally free" she cries
running free from all that's held her back
A fence suddenly appears
then another,
and another,
and another penning her into its 4 walls
gone is the freedom that's she once held
gone is the freedom to run
gone is her freewill
now is the time for obeying the will of others
now is the time for others to put a mask on her
now is the time to worry
now is the time to say,
I want to be happy again
I want to be myself
I want to run free again.
Then the alarm clock rings,
it was just a dream.
Then she realized
she was still in a pen.
She is just longing for the chance
to run free
