He Loves Me He Loves Me Not
I pull out a flower
And nervously count
But I start to cower
And I’m soon filled with doubt
The last petal lingers
On my frail hand
I barely move my fingers
My heart blares like a band
I drop to the ground
And I start to cry
I don’t make a sound
I ask myself why
For as soon,
As the last petal drops
I get a short text
And my heart about stops
He left me for her
Through all the pain that I’ve fought
He loves me, he loves me
But he loves me not
