Just How Does That Sound?
I feel tired
I feel drained
It's bad enough
Just seeing your name
I can't take this
Anymore
I can't let you
Walk on me like I'm the floor
Now all of a sudden
You give a care?
Now all of a sudden
Texting me "R U There?"
Why didn't you tell me that you loved me,
When you were here by my side?
Did your feelings shame you?
Was I something you had to hide?
You went off on your own
And I'm still stuck here in this town
You say you used to care about me
But tell, just how does that sound?
If I still have a piece of you, then say it
But if this is to end in heartbreak, don't delay it
I still love you, if only in my dreams
But you puzzle me
Like a Rubix cube that I can't solve
Around you, all of my defenses disolve...
But
Four long months, and nothing
Now, out of the blue, you want something
More
Why didn't you tell me that you loved me,
When you were here by my side?
Did your feelings shame you?
Was I something you had to hide?
You went off on your own
And I'm still stuck here in this town
You say you used to care about me
But tell, just how does that sound?
