For Us
For us, distance is bittersweet. Each time our eyes meet it changes, keep turning the pages...
For us, time won't make it harder, we'll only remember how it is, how we were
Stupid girl, i never shoulda entered your world,
Let your fingers trace my fading smile,
Wipe away my tears,
Push back the years,
Now the curtain closes, throw away the roses...
For us, close is still far apart. Each time our fingers touch, it rages, keep watching for danger..
For us, the current pulls us under, only reaching for eachother cuz there's nowhere else to turn to
Stupid boy, you should just ignore any hint of love, turn temporary calm into chaos, silence to the broken, closed is always open, destroy the adrenaline hope that this might remain,
throw mirrors into lakes,
watch them break.
The sky sparkles like your eyes in the summer,
The sun shines like a crystal in the water,
But i know that you're 17 feet under,
still breathing,
still reaching, for the surface. Is it really worth this?
Close the book... But open another one, and read the first line.
