I drive alone
In the dark
On those warm summer nights

Of something near
As far as my headlights

I see the tunnels
Of the trees
From the moonlight as it glows

I come alive
As the shadow only grows

The adrenaline
Starts to pump
And suddenly there’s lies
Because what I see
Couldn’t be

The street lights
Start to flicker
In the distance one goes out

That’s how it goes
But suddenly there’s doubt


I look into
My rearview mirror
Anxious of what I’ll see
Because if I’ll die
If I see some eyes
Staring back at me

The wind
Is still blowing
Hard against my car

Going home
Though the distance isn’t far
