Black Swan
The swan, black with sorrow
Appeared in my tomorrow
This black swan, so rare
Intertwined its feathers through my hair
A creature so battered
Its bones were shattered
But it stared at me
Then told me to be free
I couldn’t listen
I was so blinded by its coat that glistened
Its eyes that were bright
Though clouded with no light
I ignored its command
And all its demands
So the swan, black with sorrow
Never again appeared in my tomorrow
