Pureness
Who we are today
Is different than who we were yesterday
Yesterday we were
Younger, stronger, brighter
As we live
We lose that shine, that pureness
Like a child
Dreaming of a faraway land
Like a baby
Knowing of nothing but good
Yesterday was when pureness was still here
Where did it go?
What ever happened to that great gift
God gave us?
Why did we have to change?
With great knowledge
Comes great responsibility
But maybe, just maybe
We, the children of God,
Are not ready yet.
