Ocean
Rolling, crashing, sneaking by
It can be calm and peaceful
Or harsh, scary, and relentless
Swallowing up boats
Or sheltering harmless fish
You’ll never be able to predict it
Day by day, minute by minute
It changes
You turn your back for a second
And there’s a hundred foot wave hovering over your head
It’s simply unpredictable
It’s the ocean
You can’t trust it
But you’ll never stop loving it
Its beaches, rocks
And breath taking sunsets
It’s irresistible
Like a lonely piece of chocolate covered cake
You’ll visit it once
And you will never stop coming back
It’s your worst nightmare
And your personal paradise
It’s the ocean
