The Trees
The continuous drip drop, drip drop of the pouring rain
The sulking gray skies
And the soaking wet windows
Furious clouds giving no sign of letting up the torturing disturbance
Each single raindrop finding its own path to the earth below,
Creating its own individual note to go along with the storm of music
The exceedingly moist trees still standing tall, yet internally seeking shelter
They refuse to show even a hint of weakness or fragility
Simply shaking off the bothersome rain,
They don’t give up
Deep inside every person there’s that voice saying “I can’t take it anymore”
But then there’s that argumentative voice saying “I’ll never stop trying”
Seeking the power within your self is easy
But actually having the courage to use it, is otherwise difficult
Everyone needs someone they can trust and look up to
There’s no one better than the trees that embosom us from every direction
They give you absolutely no excuse to disapprove of them
They’re much more your friends than enemies
They’re more encouraging and strong than anyone I’ve ever met
Give them a single ingenuous chance
And they won’t disappoint; I promise
