The Precious Wars
They are already training
Not even men,
Still ready to
Lay down their lives
It started when they were five
“Daddy, I want to hunt”
So they learned
How to hold the
Guns
Shooting animals
Why not start shooting humans?
These are my friends
Sent out by America
To come back in an
Unmarked wooden casket
How long will it be?
How long do they have left?
The clock is
Ticking
And so are the
Bombs
Why do they go to war?
For unattainable glory?
Uneducated
(No college for them)
About the
Horrors
They will see
America,
Learn from your mistakes
Stop sending your sons away
Each of these bodies
Once had a life
Once had a friend
Now their only friend is the
Cold hard ground
