Irradescent Moons
The girl with the irradescent eyes
Stares longingly into dark skies
Beauty follows her rose petal hair
To believe in herself she wouldn't dare
Those penciled in lips won't taste success
Trapped in her mind, she can only regress
Under pressure, her porcelain begins to crack
Because her heart can only feel black
She questions the moon and screams at the stars
But this immense pain can only leave scars
For perfection has no use
When you confront it with self-abuse
