Amendments of the Heart
I say justice has no place here.
There are laws that protect us from hurt, There are laws that protect us from murder,
But where is the law that protects my heart so dear?
A woman stabbed in the heart as murder is no different than a woman stabbed in the heart by betrayal.
A murderer will stay secret while a heart breaker will tell all.
The surviving woman may love no further.
Is this world no more than a prison?
Laws governing each and every thing except to what song my heart will sing.
Or maybe the Me + You should now be changed to division.
