The Desert
Thirsty;
So very parched.
A drying, dying riverbed exacerbated by the sun.
Necessity;
Such a grave craving,
For nourishing Refreshment!
Unable to continue onward in the desert.
Dirty;
So very filthy.
I await the cleansing arid rain.
To alleviate my skin from the sediment,
My mind from the monotonous madness of the sand,
To satiate my scalding thirst!
To heal the self inflicted scars we sear upon the world.
