Beautiful Mess
Your mind is night personified
Haunting, and dark
Mysterious, it envelops all
Absorbs every details
Swallowing them whole
Yet your heart is bright
Caring, loving, protective
But wounded, scarred
So many people have
Struck you where you most vulnerable
So your personality is thick
A safeguard against the world around you
But it also keeps friends out
As well as healing
And so the armor hinders the wound
But in the end, it all comes together
A truly beautiful mess
Though for once
I wish you’d allow yourself
To be human once again
