Your Love Is All I Desire

Your love is all I desire

Mommy and Daddy don’t you care
I’m your little girl living in fear
I’m scared of the world
And what they might think
Cause I’m too different
And will never fit in

Mommy Daddy can’t you hear
My cries for you to love me
Just because I am me
Your little girl needs some love too

I may be older
But I still need love
I love you
But do you love me too

Sometimes I feel that I’m not enough
That you’ll never love me
I’m too weird for you to understand
A freak, disgrace like everyone says
I’ll never deserve your love
Never be enough
Because parents like you
Could never love a girl like me

I remember when I lived in this one foster home and the owner of it didn't like me. She filled my head with Negative thoughts abot myself that I took to heart. Now that I'm older I know that she was putting me down to make herself fell better.

This was an amazing piece! I simply cannot believe that the owner of the foster home could do that to you. The feelings presented in the poem are very realistic and maybe you could write another poem explaining more of these feelings. I just loved it! Could you please check out my poem, "Learn"?
