Frances
She was no very tall,
But she was heard.
Laughter was her medicine of choice.
Not one bad word mentioned of this name,
But all praises and fond memories.
Her skin was pale as moonlight,
And her heart was shining gold.
Joyful and happy she would always be,
In the streets of Hazard, holding hands with her husband and their young three.
She was someone I never got to meet.
I hope to own up to the name Frances,
While she smiles down at me.
