Inspiration is Around the Corner
There’s this crazy feeling inside me,
Waiting to burst out of my body.
I can feel it hiding around the corner,
Watching every step I take,
Waiting to come out and strike.
It is shy, though,
And only comes out once in a while.
I don’t know why,
But it is great at playing hide-and-seek.
Every time I attempt to find it,
It finds a new place to hide.
I wish something would smack it in the face.
It needs to wake up and smell the roses,
To learn to be courageous,
To take risks.
Hiding is not the answer.
It should show its true self,
Burst out like a firework,
Shatter like a grenade,
And explode like a thunderstorm
When the time is right,
It will find the courage
To show its true colors.
My inspiration
