Favorite Quote:
A man's true character can be measured by what he would do when he believes he would never be found out.

Spires of black and brown line the horizon,
Separating like perforation sky from earth.
Slicing the sky like a serrated hack saw,
Concealing light early and late, conspiring.
Sunrise, Sunset - A cradle of diminished glow -
Past that, more giants shielding the sun.
The dull reds and oranges clashing with gray,
Occurring each night and every day.
Hello-Goodbye stars, lunar nemeses
Resting upon black velvet blanket,
Laying tranquilly upon those jagged teeth
Standing at eternal attention,
Watchmen, minutemen immortal, alert.
Resting silently, forever inert.

Every other day, I must arrive at school around 6:00 in the morning for an early class. I enjoy walking slow on those days and watching the sun rise slowly over the horizon, over the mountains that surround where I live. They create a beautiful scene, and I was inspired instantly to write this poem.
