True Friend
All I ever wanted and all I’ll ever need
Is to let my emotions and feelings free
Is to find the one that can truly read
What I cannot bear for the world to see
In her eyes I can have not a single fault
For she sees past my weakness and finds the light
I can speak free without needing to halt
Just let it all out and get rid of the spite
Someone willing to listen with open ears
Willing to hear me vent and give some advice
She will help to break through adolescent fears
To tear through my problems and every vice
I know that she is out there; I’ll look for the sign
That leads to my best friend, and she will be mine
